10th November 2025: Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has launched the all-new Eicher Pro X Diesel Range, further expanding its next-generation 2–3.5 ton Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) portfolio.
After the successful debut of the Eicher Pro X EV earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the new diesel variant brings together Eicher’s decades of experience in fuel efficiency and reliability for regions and customers that need diesel-powered solutions.
Eicher’s latest offering is specifically engineered to meet the needs of e-commerce, FMCG, cold chain, fruits & vegetables, and parcel & courier segments. The new Eicher Pro X Diesel range has been co-developed with customers to serve small businesses, fleet operators, and first-time buyers who seek performance, profitability, and ease of ownership.
At its core lies the new Eicher E449 engine, developed purposefully for this category. It delivers best-in-class fuel efficiency, superior power, and smooth drivability across diverse Indian terrains.
The Eicher Pro X Diesel range features the largest cargo deck in its segment (10 feet 8 inches) and offers the longest-in-class service interval of 30,000 km, ensuring maximum uptime and reduced operational costs.
Together, these advancements help customers carry more goods per trip, lower maintenance expenses, and boost overall profitability, critical factors for last-mile and regional logistics operators.
Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., said: “With the launch of the Eicher Pro X Diesel, we are taking another significant step in transforming last-mile logistics in India. The Pro X range, now available in both electric and diesel variants, showcases our commitment to helping customers modernize logistics during India’s Amrit Kaal. Co-created with customers, it blends Eicher’s proven reliability, fuel efficiency, and superior uptime with the flexibility of a diesel powertrain.”
He further added that this launch strengthens Eicher’s presence in the rapidly evolving SCV segment and aligns with the brand’s mission of offering smart, sustainable, and efficient logistics solutions for India’s progress.
Mr. S.S. Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., emphasized that the Eicher Pro X Diesel is a state-of-the-art product crafted for customers and drivers in the large SCV segment.
It introduces segment-leading safety and comfort features, including:
Crash-test certified metallic cabin
Ergonomic D+2 seating for comfort
Driver State Monitoring System (DSMS)
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) for enhanced visibility
In addition, intelligent connectivity through the My Eicher App, predictive diagnostics, remote immobilizer, and real-time vehicle tracking via the 24x7 Uptime Center provide improved operational control and peace of mind to fleet owners.
Manufactured at Eicher’s Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant, the new Pro X Diesel range is assembled on an all-woman production line, showcasing Eicher’s strong commitment to ‘Make in India’ and women's empowerment in the manufacturing sector.
The Pro X Diesel is available in 3T and 3.5T GVW variants and can be experienced and booked through Eicher’s digital-first dealership network or online at www.eichersmalltrucks.com.
The launch of the Eicher Pro X Diesel Range marks another milestone in Eicher’s journey to modernize India’s last-mile logistics sector.
