Denso, a Japanese automotive has developed an advanced cooling system that provides comfort and energy efficiency when a commercial vehicle's engine is turned off. This advanced cooling system will give enhanced efficiency, reduced emissions, and improved performance. This innovation marks a significant step toward a more sustainable and reliable transportation sector.

Denso mainly focused on addressing logistics industry challenges such as improving truck driver working conditions and achieving efficient energy utilization,

According to the company, 'Everycool' is a cooling system that improves driver working conditions during hot summer seasons and it will decrease the environmental effect. It will boost efficient energy utilization by minimizing fuel usage.

This not only leads to substantial cost savings for fleet operators but also contributes to a reduction in carbon emissions, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change.

Denso's experience in air-conditioning technology is leveraged by Everycool, which directs cool air aggressively towards the driver, boosting comfort. It achieves energy efficiency by reducing power usage by roughly 57% when compared to standard cabin-wide cooling systems in Japan. As a result, it can be powered by the vehicle's normal battery.

Everycool integrates the fan, allowing a single unit to execute the whole heat exchange, as opposed to traditional cooling systems that feature separate indoor and outdoor fans for heat exchange. It also has a small electric compressor that was designed utilizing in-vehicle technologies.

This level of adaptability is a game-changer for industries reliant on commercial vehicles, where temperature control is critical for preserving goods, reducing downtime, and extending vehicle lifespans.

When compared to typical cooling systems in Japan, these two advances result in a 30% reduction in size and a 63% reduction in weight. This small design helps to provide driver cabin space, improve the quality of their rest periods, and support safe and efficient operations. Furthermore, its lightweight design has no effect on cargo capacity, which contributes to delivery efficiency.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLES COMPATIBLE

According to Denso, the reduced size of Everycool compared to typical cooling systems enables installation without blocking the visibility of the rear window, making it appropriate for a wide range of vehicle types, including not only heavy trucks but also medium-sized vehicles and tractor-trailers. It is compatible with both new and used vehicles.

As the transportation industry seeks eco-friendly and efficient solutions, Denso's latest innovation is at a more opportune moment. It promises to reshape the future of commercial vehicle cooling systems and raise the bar for sustainability in the sector.
