Blue Energy Motors’ LNG trucks cross 50 million km in India, cutting 14,000 tonnes of CO₂. The company now plans to launch electric trucks for cleaner transport.

Key Highlights:

Blue Energy Motors has announced that its LNG-powered trucks have now travelled over 50 million kilometers on Indian roads. In this, the fleet has helped reduce around 14,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. This emission cut is equal to what more than 5.6 lakh trees can absorb in a year. These results show how switching to cleaner fuel can reduce pollution in the transport sector.

In India, heavy-duty trucks make up just 4% of all vehicles but are responsible for nearly 40% of the carbon emissions from road transport, as per data from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This makes low-emission trucking solutions like LNG even more important.

Benefits of LNG Trucks

LNG-powered trucks can reduce emissions by up to 30% compared to diesel trucks. They also produce much less particulate matter and nitrogen oxides, which are harmful to health and the environment. These trucks work best for long-distance travel, where cleaner fuel gives the most benefit over time.

Blue Energy Motors has shown that using LNG trucks in daily operations is not just possible but also practical. Their trucks help transport goods with less pollution while still delivering the power and performance needed for heavy-duty use. They also help fleet owners lower running costs.

Blue Energy Motors to Launch Electric Trucks for Short Routes

Blue Energy Motors is planning to introduce electric heavy-duty trucks for short-distance transport. This move is part of the company’s larger plan to promote cleaner commercial transportation in India. While LNG trucks help reduce emissions now, electric trucks will support long-term sustainability goals. To speed up clean transport adoption, the company has signed an agreement with the Government of Maharashtra. The focus will be on expanding the use of LNG trucks and building the required infrastructure, such as LNG refueling stations.

Blue Energy Motors is also part of Essar’s green mobility mission, where it focuses on combining clean fuel technology with support systems like refueling stations and maintenance services. This approach makes it easier for businesses to shift toward greener transportation.

Blue Energy Motors’ CEO, Anirudh Bhuwalka, shared that this achievement highlights the strong presence of green trucks in India. He said it shows the real impact LNG-powered trucks can have on reducing pollution and creating a more sustainable transport system.

Blue Energy Motors follows a complete business model that goes beyond just making trucks. It combines advanced clean fuel technology with the needed infrastructure and service support. The company works closely with partners and suppliers to create zero-emission transport solutions and make it easier for more people to adopt green trucking.

Its partnership with the Government of Maharashtra is a big step toward expanding green logistics across India. This move will help set up more LNG refuelling stations and support the wider use of clean trucks on Indian roads. According to the company, this collaboration strengthens Blue Energy Motors' role in helping India move toward its goal of net-zero emissions in the commercial transport sector.
