The demand for Indian spices like coriander and fenugreek is rising across the world. However, many farmers hesitate to grow these spices due to financial risks and crop losses. To solve this problem, the Horticulture Department of Bihar has launched the Seed Spice Scheme (State Scheme) for the financial year 2024–25.
Under this scheme:
Farmers will get a 50% subsidy on the cultivation cost of coriander and fenugreek.
The aim is to increase spice production and farmers' income.
It will help farmers adopt aromatic and spice farming on a larger scale.
