Bajaj Auto’s June 2025 sales show a small overall increase, with exports rising sharply while domestic sales drop. Two-wheeler sales fall locally but rise overseas. Commercial vehicle exports boost growth.
Key Highlights:
Bajaj Auto Limited, one of India’s major two-wheeler and commercial vehicle manufacturers, reported its sales figures for June 2025, showing mixed results across domestic and international markets. The company announced a slight overall sales increase of 1% compared to June 2024. In June 2025, Bajaj Auto sold a total of 3,60,806 vehicles, compared to 3,58,477 units in June 2024. This small growth reflects diverging trends in domestic and export sales.
Domestic Sales Dip, Exports Surge
The company experienced a decline in domestic sales by 13%, dropping from 2,16,451 units last June to 1,88,460 units this year. Meanwhile, export sales increased significantly by 21%. The company exported 1,72,346 units compared to 1,42,026 units in June 2024. This shift suggests Bajaj Auto is strengthening its position in international markets even as local demand weakens.
Two-Wheeler Segment Faces Domestic Challenges
Bajaj Auto’s core business is its two-wheeler segment, which accounted for the majority of sales. Domestic two-wheeler sales fell 16%, from 1,77,207 units to 1,49,317 units. Export sales, however, grew by 18%, reaching 1,49,167 units from 1,26,439 units in the prior year. Despite the growth in exports, total two-wheeler sales slightly declined by 2% to 2,98,484 units, down from 3,03,646 units in June 2024.
Commercial Vehicles Show Strong Growth
The commercial vehicle segment showed encouraging results. Total sales increased by 14% to 62,322 units, up from 54,831 units last year. Domestic commercial vehicle sales remained steady at 39,143 units, almost unchanged from 39,244 units in June 2024. Exports in this segment surged by an impressive 49%, reaching 23,179 units compared to 15,587 units in June 2024.
Quarterly Sales Reflect Similar Trends
Looking at the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (April to June 2025), Bajaj Auto’s total sales grew slightly by 1%, totalling 11,11,237 units compared to 11,02,056 units a year ago. Domestic sales fell by 8% to 6,34,808 units, while exports grew 16% to 4,76,429 units during the quarter.

CMV360 Says
Bajaj Auto’s latest numbers highlight a clear shift. The company is facing challenges in the Indian market but is gaining ground internationally. The strong export growth is a positive sign and shows that Bajaj’s strategy to expand beyond India is paying off. Still, the drop in domestic sales cannot be overlooked, and Bajaj will need to find ways to boost demand within the country to maintain steady growth over time.
