Ashok Leyland, one of the country's premier commercial vehicle manufacturers, has opened its 11th dealership for Light Commercial Vehicles in the state of Tamil Nadu. With the addition of this new facility, Ashok Leyland now has over 600 touchpoints across the country.
"Tamil Nadu has always been an important market for Ashok Leyland," said Rajat Gupta, Head - of LCV.
Balaji Trucks will be the new channel partner. It has a 3S facility for Sales, Service, and Spares strategically positioned in Madurai. The company now offers four LCV models: Bada Dost, Dost, Partner, and MiTR.
The company official claims that the key reasons for the extraordinary success of 'Dost Range' and, more recently, the 'Bada Dost' has been the durability of the product and network.
"The new dealership will expand our reach and bring us one step closer to our goal of becoming one of the world's top ten CV manufacturers," he added.
According to the OEM, its products satisfy the changing needs of the Indian LCV client by providing best-in-class technology at low prices. According to the company, there are over 400,000 (4 lakhs) Ashok Leyland LCVs on the road in India.
