Altigreen, a leading EV manufacturer, has announced that all Altigreen EVs are now eligible for subsidies under the central government's newly introduced Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 (EMPS 2024).

The Indian government has taken an enormous step towards boosting electric mobility by launching the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024. This scheme, launched by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, intends to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide.

EMPS 2024 aims to promote the use of electric vehicles to ensure a cleaner and greener environment. EMPS 2024 is a four-month-long temporary EV subsidising scheme that will run from April 1 to July 31, 2024. It replaced FAME-II, which terminated last month after five years. However, it has been relaunched as the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 and extended until July 31, 2024.

Altigreen’s products, consisting of cargo (L5N) and passenger (L5M) electric three-wheelers, have been recertified for EMPS 2024. This re-certification ensures that customers who purchase a new Altigreen EV during the scheme period will be eligible for incentive benefits of up to Rs.50,000.

Altigreen anticipates that the EMPS 2024 incentives would result in a significant increase in sales, helping the country achieve its goals of reducing carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. The scheme is part of a broader move to position India as a global leader in the EV sector. Altigreen's alignment with the country's vision is a significant step in that direction.
