UP Government Announces ₹800 Subsidy on Potato Seeds for Farmers: Boost to Production and Income

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a scheme offering ₹800 per quintal subsidy on departmental potato seeds for 2025–26. Seeds, priced at ₹1,960–₹2,915 per quintal after subsidy, will be distributed through the Horticulture Department, prioritizing small and marginal farmers. Focusing on small and marginal farmers, the policy includes crop and fisheries clusters to boost production, exports, and rural employment. By leveraging digital tools, the initiative aims to increase productivity, income, and sustainability, supporting UP’s vision to become a global food hub by 2030.

Farmers Alert: Follow These Steps Before Sowing Chickpeas to Double Your Yield

As the Rabi season begins, Tabiji Farm experts advise farmers to boost chickpea yields by up to 25% through proper soil and seed treatment. Using fertile loamy soil, applying Trichoderma, Carbendazim, or Thiram, and controlling pests with Quinalphos, Fipronil, or Imidacloprid ensures healthy crops. Balanced nutrients and biofertilizers like Rhizobium and PSB enhance growth. Following these scientific practices helps increase productivity, protect plants from diseases, and improve farmers’ profits sustainably.

Chhattisgarh Government Announces Paddy Procurement from November 15

The Chhattisgarh government will start paddy procurement from November 15, 2025, to January 31, 2026, at an MSP of ₹3,100 per quintal, with a 21-quintal per acre limit.
