The Rajasthan government has launched the Rajasthan Krishak Samman Pension Scheme, also known as the Small and Marginal Farmers Old Age Pension Scheme. This scheme provides monthly financial assistance to elderly farmers, helping them live a respectful and self-reliant life in their later years.
Eligible farmers will receive ₹1,150 every month, which is directly transferred to their bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This means a total of ₹13,800 per year will be given to each beneficiary under this scheme.
To receive benefits under the Rajasthan Krishak Samman Pension Scheme, the applicant must meet the following conditions:
Must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
The minimum age should be 55 years for women and 58 years for men.
Must be a small or marginal farmer.
Must own agricultural land within the limits set by the government for each district.
The state government has set different land ownership limits based on the district and type of land:
Jaisalmer and Barmer
Irrigated land: 1.50 hectares
Non-irrigated land: 10.00 hectares
Bikaner, Nagaur, Jalore, Pali, Churu, Jodhpur
Irrigated land: 1.50 hectares
Non-irrigated land: 7.00 hectares
Jhunjhunu, Ajmer, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Banswara
Irrigated land: 1.50 hectares
Non-irrigated land: 3.00 hectares
All Other Districts
Irrigated land: 1.00 hectare
Non-irrigated land: 2.00 hectares
Even if someone meets the eligibility conditions, they cannot apply for this scheme if they are already receiving benefits under any of the following social security schemes:
Old Age Pension Scheme
Widow Pension Scheme
Divorced Women's Pension Scheme
Specially Abled Pension Scheme
These beneficiaries are excluded from receiving benefits under the Krishak Samman Pension Scheme.
