The overall tractor industry, which saw a slight decline of 1.04% in FY2025, is witnessing a revival in FY26. Between April and July 2025, total tractor sales in India reached 2,98,978 units, marking a 7.67% growth compared to the same period last year. Sonalika played a key role in this recovery.
Sonalika’s sales numbers reflect strong monthly growth and increasing market dominance:
April 2025: 7,782 tractors sold | 12.78% market share
June 2025: 10,136 tractors sold | 13.13% market share
July 2025: 12,536 tractors sold | 14.13% market share
In July 2025 alone, Sonalika posted a 12.4% growth in tractor sales compared to the same month last year, well above the industry average.
Sonalika has shown the highest market share gain among all tractor manufacturers in FY26 so far. In FY25, the company sold 1,14,207 tractors, securing a 12.80% market share. By July 2025, this had risen to 14.13%, positioning Sonalika as the third-largest tractor manufacturer in India.
While Mahindra & Mahindra (includingSwaraj) continues to lead with a combined 42% market share, Sonalika is rapidly closing the gap with other major players. The company has significantly widened its lead over TAFE Ltd., which was just 0.7% behind Sonalika in FY24. By July 2025, this gap had increased to 4.1%, highlighting Sonalika's strong performance.
Sonalika is not only performing well in the domestic market but is also the largest exporter of tractors from India. The company holds:
14% share in the domestic tractor market
34% share in total tractor exports
This means 1 in every 3 tractors exported from India is a Sonalika tractor, further proving its global strength.
Sonalika’s growth in FY26 signals a major shift in the Indian tractor market. With its rising domestic share, strong exports, and increasing lead over competitors, Sonalika is positioning itself as a dominant force in both India and the global farm equipment industry.
