PM Modi Releases 20th Installment in Varanasi

The announcement was made at a public event in Banoli, Sevapuri, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking to thousands of farmers, PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and prosperity of India’s farmers. This financial support, he said, will help farmers manage their agricultural expenses like seeds, fertilizers, and other essential inputs.

Why This Installment Matters

The 20th installment comes at a crucial time, as farmers across India are currently sowing Kharif crops. The timely transfer is expected to ease financial pressure on small and marginal farmers, improve crop productivity, and ensure smooth agricultural operations.

What is PM-KISAN?

Total Disbursement Crosses Rs 4 Lakh Crore

With the 20th installment, total disbursement under PM-KISAN has crossed Rs 4 lakh crore since its launch. The previous 19th installment was released on February 24, 2025, and while the 20th was expected by June, it was delayed due to the Prime Minister’s foreign visit in July.

In Bihar alone, over Rs 27,088 crore has been distributed through earlier installments, and the 20th installment is set to benefit around 76.37 lakh farmers in the state.

How to Check PM-KISAN 20th Installment Payment Status

If you're a registered PM-KISAN beneficiary, follow these simple steps to check if Rs 2,000 has been credited to your bank account:

  1. Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in

  2. Click on ‘Farmers Corner’: Find this section on the homepage.

  3. Select ‘Beneficiary Status’: Choose the ‘Know Your Status’ option.

  4. Enter Details: Fill in your registration number and captcha, then click ‘Get OTP’.

  5. Verify OTP: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

  6. Check Status: Your payment status will appear on the screen.

Tip: If you don’t know your registration number, click on ‘Know Your Registration Number’ and search using your Aadhaar or mobile number.
