Developed by Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) for MSP procurement 2025-26.
App available on the Google Play Store and Apple iOS.
Aims for transparency, fair MSP, and digital empowerment of farmers.
In a major step towards farmer welfare and digital empowerment, the Haryana government has launched a new mobile application called “Kapas Kisan App.” Through this app, cotton-producing farmers can now verify their crop details and book slots online from the comfort of their homes.
The initiative aims to make the process of selling cotton crops under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme more transparent, quick, and hassle-free.
According to government officials, this initiative ensures that cotton farmers receive the full MSP for their produce in a fair and timely manner. The Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI), a Government of India enterprise, has developed this app for the procurement of cotton crops during the 2025-26 season.
Verify their personal and crop details online
Book slots at the nearest CCI procurement center
Get updates on the date and time for the crop sale
The mobile application is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple iOS platforms.
The process to register and book a slot on the Kapas Kisan App is simple:
Download the App: Farmers can download the “Kapas Kisan” mobile app from the Play Store or App Store.
Login via OTP: Login using the mobile number registered on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB)” portal through OTP verification.
Auto Verification: The app will automatically match the cotton-sown land information with the MFMB portal records.
Book Your Slot: Once verified, farmers can select and book their slot at the nearest CCI procurement center.
Receive Schedule Info: After booking, farmers will get details about the date and time of their crop sale directly on the app.
This system helps farmers avoid long queues and waiting times at procurement centers, ensuring a smooth experience.
With the introduction of the Kapas Kisan App, the entire procurement process becomes digital and transparent. Farmers can now be assured that their crop data is correctly recorded, and the sale process is free from middlemen or manual errors.
The Cotton Corporation of India has also issued important guidelines:
Farmers should bring only fully dried cotton to procurement centers.
The moisture content in cotton should not exceed 12 percent to ensure fair MSP.
The CCI will only purchase cotton that meets Fair Average Quality (FAQ) standards.
These measures will help farmers receive the right price for good-quality cotton.
The launch of the Kapas Kisan App is being seen as another significant step toward digitalizing agriculture in Haryana. Farmers no longer need to visit government offices or depend on middlemen. All necessary activities, from crop verification to sales slot booking, can be done through a mobile phone.
Increase transparency in crop procurement
Reduce corruption and human interference
Save time and effort for farmers
Ensure direct and fair benefits
Overall, the “Cotton Farmer App” (Kapas Kisan App) is a strong move toward modernizing agriculture and making farmers more digitally empowered and self-reliant.
