The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) in Uttar Pradesh is fast becoming India’s new tractor manufacturing hub. Global agricultural machinery giant New Holland Agriculture has announced an investment of ₹5000 crore to build a state-of-the-art tractor plant on 100 acres of land allocated by YEIDA. The project received government approval within just one month, showing the state’s strong push for rapid industrial development.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar region is now a hotspot for major tractor manufacturers. Escorts Kubota is already setting up its own unit with an investment of ₹4,500 crore across 190 acres, while Sonalika Tractors has also established its presence in the region.
Together, these leading brands are transforming the area into India’s most advanced center for tractor and agri-machinery production, attracting both domestic and global attention.
The upcoming manufacturing units will generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, including opportunities for engineers, machine operators, transporters, and local suppliers. This large-scale industrial growth will also support MSMEs, auto-component manufacturers, and local vendors, creating a positive ripple effect across the regional economy.
The investments are also a strong step toward India’s “Make in India” initiative, as tractors made here will cater to both domestic markets and exports. It will help position India as a global hub for agri-equipment manufacturing.
Strategically located near the Noida International Airport and the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), the YEIDA region is well-placed for rapid industrial expansion. Ongoing infrastructure development in roads, logistics, and power supply makes it a highly attractive destination for investors and manufacturers.
With New Holland, Escorts Kubota, and Sonalika leading the way, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Zone is on track to become India’s “Tractor Capital”—a powerhouse driving industrial growth, creating employment, and fueling rural progress across the nation.
New Holland’s ₹5000 crore investment marks a major milestone for India’s agricultural machinery industry. With Escorts Kubota and Sonalika already present, the YEIDA region is rapidly becoming a powerful industrial hub. The project will create jobs, strengthen local businesses, and promote Make in India manufacturing. Supported by strong infrastructure and logistics, this region is set to emerge as India’s new “Tractor Capital.”
