The government has begun maize procurement at ₹2,225 per quintal under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme for the Rabi season 2025, offering a major opportunity for maize-producing farmers in Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Procurement started from June 15 and runs till July 31

Under the Yogi Government in Uttar Pradesh, maize procurement has officially started from June 15, 2025, and will continue till July 31, 2025. The maize will be bought at designated government procurement centers between 9 am and 6 pm daily.

In Chhattisgarh, Maa Danteshwari Maize Processing and Marketing Cooperative Society Limited in Kondagaon district is purchasing maize to produce ethanol. Procurement here will take place Monday to Friday at the Kokodi ethanol plant.

Farmers to Get MSP + Bonus in Chhattisgarh

While the MSP of maize is ₹2,225 per quintal, Chhattisgarh farmers will also receive an additional bonus depending on their development block:

Where Will Maize Be Procured in Uttar Pradesh?

Farmers in the following maize-producing districts of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for MSP procurement:

Bulandshahr, Badaun, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Firozabad, Hathras, Mainpuri, Hardoi, Unnao, Kanpur Nagar, Oraiyya, Kannauj, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Bahraich, Ballia, Gonda, Sambhal, Rampur, Ayodhya, and Mirzapur.

Only registered farmers can sell their maize at government centers. UP farmers must register online at fcs.up.gov.in or through the 'UP Kisan Mitra' mobile app.

Token Distribution and Purchase Limits

In Chhattisgarh, token distribution began on June 19, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm. Tokens are issued at LAMPS (Primitive Tribe Service Cooperative Societies) in:

Kondagaon, Dahikonga, Makdi, Amravati, Farasgaon, Badedogar, Keshkal, Dhanora, Baderajpur, and Salna.

Each farmer can sell up to 10 quintals per acre. There is no such limit for Uttar Pradesh farmers.

Farmers must register and obtain a token from their local LAMPS or online portal to sell maize at MSP and receive the bonus. Required documents include:
