Commenting on the sales performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said:
“We have sold 38,914 tractors in the domestic market during May’25, a growth of 10% over last year. The early arrival of an above-normal Southwest monsoon is a good sign for kharif crop sowing. Land preparation for paddy is already underway. The approval of a hike in MSP (Minimum Support Price) for paddy and other kharif crops will boost farmer confidence.
With better reservoir levels, the government's announcement of record foodgrain production, and the launch of various farmer-focused schemes, we expect improved farm productivity. This will drive positive demand for tractors in the coming months. In the export market, we have sold 1,729 tractors.”

Mahindra has shown solid growth in domestic tractor sales for May 2025 and the financial year so far. Despite a slight dip in export numbers this month, the overall outlook remains positive. Factors like favorable monsoon forecasts, MSP hikes, and strong farm policies are expected to keep tractor demand strong in the coming months.
