Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a big success in the United States. The company’s US arm has sold over 3 lakh tractors, marking 30 years of continuous growth in the American market. This news was proudly shared by Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
He expressed deep gratitude to American farmers for their trust in Mahindra tractors and recalled how this incredible journey started with humble beginnings and big dreams.

Anand Mahindra shared a memorable story from the early days of their US operations. Back then, American farmers were not very sure about Indian tractors. But one determined Mahindra employee, Rip Evans, played a key role in changing that.
Rip, dressed in ironed jeans, a cowboy hat, and boots, would drive across Texas in his old pickup truck carrying a single Mahindra tractor. He introduced it to farmers as a "sturdy Indian tractor." His efforts slowly helped Mahindra win their trust.
Today, Mahindra is recognized as a major player in North America’s tractor and farm equipment industry, thanks to those early efforts.
In his post, Anand Mahindra also mentioned how far the company has come, but assured that they will always stay humble and focused on supporting farmers.
He praised American farmers, saying, "They work day and night to feed an entire continent. They deserve the best we can offer." His message showed deep respect and appreciation for the hardworking farming community.
