At present, eligible women in Madhya Pradesh are receiving ₹1,500 per month directly in their bank accounts under the Ladli Behna Yojana. This scheme has become a steady source of financial support for millions of women across the state. While releasing the latest installment, the Chief Minister said that the government’s focus is not only on providing financial help but also on creating long-term income opportunities for women.
The Chief Minister clarified that the government will not give ₹5,000 as direct cash assistance to all women. Instead, this amount will be linked to employment and industrial work. Women who work in factories, industries, or take up employment opportunities will be eligible to receive additional financial support of up to ₹5,000 per month. This move is aimed at encouraging women to join the workforce and become self-employed.
To promote women-led businesses, the state government announced interest rebates on bank loans for women who want to start factories or industries. This facility will reduce the loan burden and make it easier for women to begin their entrepreneurial journey, especially in manufacturing and small-scale industries.
Another major relief announced is a 2 percent discount on registration fees if a house or land is registered in a woman’s name. This step will encourage property ownership among women and strengthen their financial and social security.
With monthly assistance of ₹1,500, employment-linked income support of up to ₹5,000, low-interest loans for business setup, and property registration discounts, the Madhya Pradesh government is taking a comprehensive approach towards women empowerment. The focus is clearly on linking government support with employment and entrepreneurship.
These benefits will be available to eligible beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana who meet the conditions set by the state government and are willing to work, start industries, or engage in employment. Detailed guidelines and procedures for these schemes are expected to be released soon.
Overall, these announcements by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav are being seen as a major step towards economic security, employment generation, and self-reliance for women in Madhya Pradesh.
