• The farmer’s name and address must be recorded on the ticket.

How are Discounts Provided to Farmers?

• Farmers receive a 25 per cent discount when they travel to attend any agricultural or industrial exhibition.
• A 33 per cent discount is provided to farmers travelling on government-sponsored special trains.
• Farmers are offered a 50 per cent discount when they travel to study at national-level agriculture and animal husbandry institutes.
• While booking tickets for a discounted train fare, farmers need to select the “Kisan” option at the ticket counter.
