The Haryana government has brought major relief to women by revising the Pandit Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana. From now on, eligible women will receive a lump-sum amount of ₹6,300 every three months, calculated at ₹2,100 per month. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced this update while releasing the scheme’s second installment.

Earlier, the plan was to release the lump sum every six months, but the government changed this to three months to avoid long waiting periods. CM Saini said this will help women better manage household needs, children’s education, or small self-employment activities.
He also shared that ₹148 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 71,965 women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as the second installment. This step reflects the state’s commitment to women’s financial independence and social empowerment.
The Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana was launched on September 25, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Key points include:
Women aged 23 to 60 years with an annual family income of up to ₹1 lakh are eligible.
Beneficiaries receive ₹2,100 per month.
The first installment was released on Haryana Day (November 1), and the second has now been distributed.
There are around 20 lakh eligible women in the state. So far:
9 lakh+ women have applied
701,965 have been verified as eligible
558,346 have completed Aadhaar KYC
Verification for 143,619 applicants is still pending
The Chief Minister urged all pending applicants to finish their e-KYC soon to receive benefits.
The scheme is fully digital for better transparency.
Women can apply using the Lado Laxmi Mobile App
Verification is completed in 24–48 hours
Eligible applicants receive an SMS to upload a live photo and complete e-KYC
A unique scheme ID is then generated
Around 3,000 to 4,000 new applications are being submitted daily, showing strong public response and trust.
CM Saini said the scheme aims not only to provide financial help but also to support women in starting small income-generating activities. Women can use the funds for:
Small businesses
Sewing and tailoring
Animal husbandry
Grocery or small shop setups
Other self-employment work
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi and other senior officials attended the press conference.
The government has used digital tools to make the entire process easy, transparent, and fast. Applications are online, verification is quick, and payments are made directly to bank accounts, strengthening the government’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”
