FADA reports 60,915 tractor sales in April 2025, with Mahindra leading the market and TAFE showing strong growth.

Swaraj Division follows with 11,593 units, 19.03% share.
TAFE shows growth with 6,838 units, up from 5,619 last year.
Kubota sales dropped to 777 units from 1,078 last April.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the retail tractor sales data for April 2025. According to the report, a total of 60,915 tractors were sold across India, up from 56,635 units sold in April 2024. This marks a healthy year-on-year increase in retail tractor sales.
This data has been compiled with the support of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and includes registration figures from 1,380 out of 1,440 RTOs across the country. It is important to note that data from Telangana is not included in the report.

Mahindra continued to lead the retail tractor market by selling 14,042 units, gaining a 23.05% market share. The company improved its sales compared to 12,656 units in April 2024.
The Swaraj Division stayed in second place with 11,593 units sold. However, its market share slightly declined to 19.03%, down from 19.49% last year.
Sonalika tractors sold 7,782 units in April 2025, securing a 12.78% market share, slightly down from 13.10% in April 2024.
TAFE saw a good rise in performance with 6,838 units sold, improving its market share to 11.23% from 9.92% last year.
Escorts Kubota maintained a steady growth with 6,355 units sold, slightly improving its market share to 10.43% from 10.37%.
John Deere tractors sold 5,020 units, holding an 8.24% share, slightly down from 8.39% in April 2024.
Eicher experienced a drop in sales with 3,664 units, down from 3,882 units last year. Its market share slipped to 6.01% from 6.85%.
CNH sold 2,558 units, gaining a 4.20% share, slightly down from 4.27% in April 2024.
Kubota recorded a major decline, selling only 777 units compared to 1,078 units last year. Its market share fell to 1.28%.
Other smaller brands collectively sold 2,286 units, holding a 3.75% share, improving from 3.36% last year.

Tractor sales in April 2025 showed positive growth compared to April 2024, with over 4,000 more units sold. Mahindra & Mahindra, across both its divisions, continues to dominate the Indian tractor market. TAFE showed strong improvement, while Kubota and Eicher faced notable declines.
