Eicher has expanded its tractor portfolio with the launch of the new Eicher 450, positioned in the 41 - 45 HP segment. The new model is designed to meet the needs of farmers who require a reliable tractor for heavy field operations as well as everyday farming and haulage work. With two distinct styling options and multiple gearbox choices, the Eicher 450 offers flexibility to suit different farming preferences.
The Eicher 450 is offered in two design options to cater to both modern and traditional buyers. The PRIMA G3 series features a contemporary design with a bold, sporty appearance, aimed at farmers seeking a modern tractor. On the other hand, the Silver Heritage range retains the classic Eicher styling that has been trusted by farmers for generations. Both variants are built for long working hours and regular farm use.
Powering the Eicher 450 and PRIMA G3 is a 44 HP-range, 3-cylinder, water-cooled engine. This engine is developed to deliver consistent performance with reduced heat buildup during extended operations. It also focuses on better fuel efficiency, making it suitable for demanding tasks such as ploughing, cultivation, haulage, and other agricultural activities.
The gearbox setup varies depending on the variant to meet different operational needs. The Silver Heritage variant comes with an 8 Forward + 2 Reverse side-shift gearbox, while the PRIMA G3 variant is equipped with a 12 Forward + 3 Reverse gearbox, offering more speed options for precise work.
The tractor also features a multi-speed PTO with reverse PTO, enabling smooth operation of modern implements such as rotavators, sprayers, and balers.
The Eicher 450 4WD PRIMA G3 is designed with an aerodynamic hood and a one-touch front-opening bonnet, allowing quick and easy engine access. A bold front grille improves airflow, while wrap-around headlamps enhance visibility during night operations. The Digi NXT dashboard provides clear and easy-to-read driving information, and the sporty steering wheel with a spinner knob supports smooth maneuvering during fieldwork.
Comfort is a key focus in the PRIMA G3 variant, which comes with Comfy Luxe seating placed at a higher position to offer better visibility of the field. The wide operator platform ensures ample legroom, reducing fatigue during long working hours. For added safety, the ‘Walk Me Home’ light feature illuminates the path even after the engine is switched off, helping operators move safely at night.
The tractor is equipped with multi-disc oil-immersed brakes, providing reliable stopping power during both field and road operations. It comes with mechanical steering as standard, while power steering is available as an option for easier handling. For implement operations, the three-point linkage supports draft, position, and response control, and uses CAT-II links, allowing the tractor to work with a wide range of agricultural implements.
