India’s domestic tractor market recorded 10.49% growth in June 2025, driven by strong brand performance and rural demand.
Total domestic tractor sales: 1,12,678 units.

India’s domestic tractor market continues to perform well. In June 2025, total tractor sales reached 1,12,678 units, marking a 10.49% growth compared to 1,01,981 units sold in June 2024. This rise in demand reflects positive sentiments in the rural economy and ongoing agricultural activities supported by government policies.

M&M continued to dominate the tractor market in India by selling 51,769 units, a 12.82% increase from 45,888 units sold in June 2024. Its market share rose from 45.00% to 45.94%, showing an improvement of 0.95%.

TAFE Group, which includes Massey Ferguson and Eicher, sold 19,952 units, growing by 12.58% over last year’s 17,723 units. Its market share also improved from 17.38% to 17.71%, marking a 0.33% increase.

Sonalika sold 15,000 units in June 2025, achieving a 6.67% growth compared to 14,062 units sold in June 2024. However, the brand's market share dropped from 13.79% to 13.31%, down 0.48%.

Escorts Kubota experienced a slight decline in sales with 10,997 units sold, compared to 11,011 units last year. This represents a 0.13% decrease in volume and a 1.04% drop in market share, falling from 10.80% to 9.76%.
John Deere sold 8,810 tractors, up 9.81% from 8,023 units in June 2024. However, the market share slipped slightly from 7.87% to 7.82%, a 0.05% decrease.
New Holland showed strong growth by selling 4,250 units, up 22.55% from 3,468 units last year. The brand’s market share grew from 3.40% to 3.77%, a rise of 0.37%.
Captain sold 500 units, marking a 13.38% increase over 441 units sold last year. Its market share remained almost stable, rising from 0.43% to 0.44%, a small gain of 0.01%.
Indo Farm reported sales of 396 units, showing a 6.45% growth from 372 units in June 2024. However, its market share slightly dropped from 0.36% to 0.35%, down by 0.01%.
Preet saw a 3.77% decline, selling 383 units compared to 398 units last year. Its market share also fell from 0.39% to 0.34%, a decrease of 0.05%.
VST sold 359 units, up by 1.99% from 352 units in June 2024. Despite the increase, the market share dropped slightly from 0.35% to 0.32%, a 0.03% decrease.

ACE reported 202 units sold in June 2025, a small growth of 1.00% over 200 units last year. However, its market share reduced slightly from 0.20% to 0.18%, down by 0.02%.
SDF recorded an impressive growth of 39.53%, selling 60 units compared to 43 units in June 2024. The market share improved from 0.04% to 0.05%, a 0.01% increase.

The tractor industry in India continued its growth journey in June 2025. With a total of 1,12,678 units sold, the market saw a 10.49% YoY growth. Leading brands like Mahindra, TAFE, and New Holland performed strongly, gaining both in volume and market share.
However, some brands like Escorts Kubota, Sonalika, and Preet faced challenges, showing either lower growth or a decline in market share. Overall, the positive trend reflects strong rural demand, favorable monsoon predictions, and continued government push for farm mechanization.
