Why This Scheme Was Launched

Due to irregular rainfall across various regions, some areas with excessive rains and others like Bihar with below-normal rainfall, farmers are facing challenges in irrigating their crops. To prevent crop failure and reduce costs, the Bihar government’s Agriculture Department has started this diesel subsidy scheme for farmers who use diesel pumps for irrigation.

How to Apply for Diesel Subsidy Online

Farmers need to apply online through the Bihar Kisan App or directly via the DBT Agriculture Portal.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Register on the portal if not already registered.

  2. Upload the following:

    • 13-digit registration number.

    • Digital diesel voucher receipt showing:

      • Farmer's registration number (last 10 digits),

      • Petrol pump details,

      • Farmer’s signature and name.

  3. Last Date to Apply: 10 October 2025.

    • Only diesel purchases made till this date are valid for the subsidy.
