CNH Industrial has announced its intention to expand its long-standing cooperation with LS Tractor, the agricultural tractor business of the OEM LS Mtron to strengthen its position in the compact tractor category. The Memorandum of Understanding and technical cooperation agreement were signed to strengthen the existing relationship and broaden the product offering in order to gain a larger market share.
LS Tractor has a four-decade history of working with CNH's historical brands and is presently the commercial distributor for CNH's New Holland Agriculture brand in South Korea. This expanded relationship corresponds with CNH's goal of providing a broader range of options and personalized solutions to its customers' specific agriculture needs.
This expansion will result in the localization of select compact tractor models at both the CNH manufacturing plant in Greater Noida, India, and the LS Tractor manufacturing site in South Korea. Leveraging CNH’s manufacturing capabilities and LS Tractor’s expertise in components and engineering, this strategic initiative aims to expedite the speed to market and introduce new solutions for customers.
CNH's expanded product portfolio in compact tractors, manufactured at the Greater Noida factory, is expected to allow the company to reach a bigger market while capitalizing on the strength and competitiveness of its Indian supplier base.
