₹10.30 Crore Schemes Approved for Beekeeping

To promote honey production as a commercial activity, the state government has sanctioned ₹10.30 crore for implementing two new schemes across all districts. The goal is to provide an alternative source of income for farmers and encourage sustainable livelihoods through beekeeping.

Scheme to Benefit Farmers in All Districts

Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that these schemes will be rolled out in every district of Bihar, ensuring maximum participation and benefit for farmers across the state. The move underlines the government's commitment to diversifying income opportunities for the agricultural community.

He further highlighted that the direct subsidy support on equipment will help farmers set up their own beekeeping units with less financial burden and better access to necessary tools.
