The Bihar government offers a ₹50,000 subsidy for farmers to build pucca threshing floors. Apply online by 5 August 2025.

Key Highlights

To help farmers manage post-harvest produce better, the Bihar government has launched the Pucca Threshing Floor Nirman Yojana under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana 2025-26. Through this scheme, farmers can get a subsidy of up to ₹50,000 for building a permanent threshing floor (pucca khalihan) on their own land.

The aim is to ensure farmers have access to a clean, safe, and proper area to dry and handle their harvested crops, reducing loss and improving both yield quality and market value.

What Is a Pucca Threshing Floor and Why Is It Needed?

A pucca threshing floor is a solid cemented platform where farmers can safely dry, thresh, and store harvested crops like wheat, rice, and pulses. During traditional methods, crops are often threshed on open fields or roadsides, where dust, mud, or moisture can damage the quality.
