The Uttar Pradesh government is inviting youth to apply for the Agrijunction Scheme 2025 under the Trained Agricultural Entrepreneur Swavalamban Yojana. This scheme offers self-employment opportunities by allowing eligible candidates to open fertilizer, seed, and pesticide shops in rural areas. The last date to apply online is July 20, 2025, and the application is completely free of cost.

Launched in 2022-23, the Agrijunction Scheme aims to set up 10,000 Agrijunction centers across Uttar Pradesh by the year 2027. These centers will serve as one-stop shops in villages, offering various agricultural inputs and services to farmers. The scheme is especially designed for agriculture graduates, helping them become self-employed while also serving the farming community.
Provide self-employment to educated youth in the agriculture sector
Offer easy access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides to farmers
Support farmers with services like soil testing, agricultural advice, and equipment rental
Promote the use of advanced agricultural technology and practices
Build a strong bridge between farmers and trained agriculture professionals
At these centers, farmers will get:
Agricultural inputs based on crop type, soil, and local needs
Organic manure, vermicompost, micronutrients, biopesticides, and chemical pesticides
Soil testing services and technical advice
Option to rent small farming equipment
Information and guidance on modern agricultural practices
To apply for this scheme, the applicant must:
Be a resident of Uttar Pradesh
Hold a graduate degree in one of the following fields:
Agriculture
Horticulture
Animal Husbandry
Forestry
Dairy Science
Poultry Farming
Veterinary Science
Be up to 40 years of age
SC, ST, and women candidates can get age relaxation of up to 5 years
Those selected under the scheme will receive several benefits:
Subsidy of up to ₹60,000 on a loan of ₹5 lakh
50% rent subsidy for one year, up to ₹1,000 per month
Free license for fertilizer/seed/pesticide business
Free training for managing the shop and services
The Agrijunction centers will make it easier for farmers to access:
