The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2025 is one of the Central Government’s major welfare schemes. It aims to provide LPG gas cylinder connections to poor and economically weaker women in India. Under this scheme:
Women from BPL families receive free LPG connections.
Subsidy is provided for the gas cylinder, stove, and monthly refilling.
The subsidy amount is transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
In a recent move, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred ₹46.34 crore for LPG gas refill subsidies to over 30 lakh women beneficiaries of PMUY.
This transfer was done during the release of the 26th installment of the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, from Nalwa village in Ujjain, announced the gas subsidy transfer.
Along with this, ₹340 crore was sent to 56.74 lakh social security pension beneficiaries.
