The 9th EIMA Agrimach India 2025 in New Delhi opened with a strong focus on clean energy and modern farming. The event highlighted India’s growing shift toward electric farm machinery, with VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. introducing its first EV implements and Montra Electric showcasing its new E-27 electric tractor.
VST Tillers Tractors made a major move into green farming by launching its first-ever Electric Power Tiller and Electric Power Weeder at PUSA, New Delhi. The unveiling was done by Smt. S. Rukmani, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
These electric machines were designed and developed in-house, showing VST’s commitment to innovation.
CEO Antony Cherukara said the new EV models support cleaner, smoother, and more efficient farming. He added that the electric tiller and weeder will help farmers cut fuel costs, boost ease of work, and support India’s clean energy goals.
VST has long been associated with global electric tractor brands. The company has already supplied drivetrain systems for both autonomous and electric tractors in international markets.
Now, VST plans to use this experience to push small-farm mechanisation in India. The company believes EV tools will reduce operating costs and increase productivity for farmers.

VST also revealed plans to introduce its electric equipment lineup in Europe and other global markets.
VST recorded 37,297 power tiller sales in FY25, higher than 36,480 units sold in FY24. With the introduction of its electric machines, the company expects stronger growth in the coming months. VST believes the EV range will attract farmers who want cleaner, more efficient, and cost-saving equipment.
The EV launch positively impacted the stock market. VST Tillers Tractors shares jumped 5.43% to a high of ₹5,780 on November 28, 2025. Even at 10 AM, the stock traded up 4.81% at ₹5,745.55.
In comparison, the BSE Sensex gained only 0.17% during the same period.
Market experts say investors are upbeat about VST entering the electric farming segment, as EV machines can reduce operating costs and increase demand for sustainable technology.
